Performing Healthcare Market
The healthcare market in Istanbul is rapidly growing, with a focus on medical tourism. The city offers a range of high-quality medical services, including cosmetic surgery, dental treatments, and medical check-ups. The private healthcare sector dominates the market, with a large number of private hospitals and clinics offering advanced medical services. According to a report by Euromonitor International, the healthcare market in Turkey is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10% between 2021 and 2025.
Istanbul has become a popular destination for medical tourism, with visitors from Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa coming to the city for medical treatment. The city's healthcare market is competitive, with many hospitals and clinics offering services to international patients. The Turkish government has also implemented policies to encourage medical tourism, such as visa exemptions for patients and their companions, and tax incentives for medical facilities that serve international patients.
The healthcare market in Istanbul and the city's tourism industry are closely related. Many tourists come to Istanbul for medical treatment, and then combine it with a vacation to explore the city's attractions. The availability of high-quality medical services in Istanbul has also made it an attractive destination for medical conferences and events, which can further boost tourism.
